#213: document olpc kernel development process and "how to hack the kernel"
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: blizzard | Owner: dcbw
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: high | Milestone: BTest-1
Component: distro | Keywords:
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
Based on this week and Mark's experience we clearly need to document:

o The platform to develop on (FC6, clearly, since it's the same as the
 software we're using)

o What git tree to use for development bits

o How to turn that kernel source checkout into something that you can work
 on

o Where the connonical source is for a .config file

 o How to rebuild SRPMS

 o How the disaster-that-is-SRPM-kernel-configs works

o How the initrd stuff works and how it affects your ability to build and
 test kernels

o How to build or work on an external module using tools on the system

o Kernel command line options and how those options affect different
 hardware bits
