New description:

When I did the teamwiki "create account" thing, it succeeded, but then
 gave me the following message:

Your account has been created. One more step is needed before you
can use this site, your account has to be approved by an OLPC
admnistrator. Please email your OLPC contact or khaled at laptop.org
to be granted access to TeamWiki.

This "send a separate email" step should be eliminated; the wiki script
should send the email. Why make the user do another step with no
additional information content, when that step can be automated with a few
lines of code in any popular web scripting language?

 KH:
There is data that need to be specified, which is what namespaces a newly
registered user needs access to and why they are asking for such access.
The messages were updated to require such content.
