 I took a single data point, so eh.  These are extremely crude and not
 statistically significant.  I got to sugar asking me to enter a username;
 I took a data point when X showed a cursor and when the box appeared.  -mm
 is -mm; -mm-ara is -mm with Adaptive readahead() enabled.

 -mm:
   1:50 (X)
   2:13 (X+login)

 -mm-ara:
   1:51 (X)
   2:16 (X+login)
