Comment:

 No, the tickless patches are not in 2.6.18.  They are out for review right
 now. We don't know yet if they will be integrated into 2.6.19 or not.

 We've asked Dave and Marcelo to take a look at them.

 If you are brave, you can track the review of them going on right now on
 the LKML.
