Missing Dock

Hi,

I just wanted to share a real "doh!" gotcha experience that I didn't see 
described in the docs or the mailing lists. I have been building images 
on our devboard for a few months now, and whenever X came up, the dock 
would briefly appear, then disappear.

I only figured out yesterday that the lower left hand corner of the 
screen is hot, a makes the launcher dock reappear.  I am not certain if 
the most recent builds have this design, but it was pretty baffling.
