All,

[i am fresh on the list so excuse my ignorance for any recent discussions]

I just created a small perl-5.8.8 binary, 2MB in size which may or may 
not be useful.

And just today I read somwhere you need to get rid of 30MB of Perl ...
Mind that there's also a dietpython floating around. Both probably way 
more educational ressources than a dietmplayer.

BTW: UPX-ing all /bin and /lib directories sould be a feasible and cheap 
way to get way more SW onto the flash.
