You can change it. You have to switch to linuxbios.

Insyde no longer boots after Aug. 20. I realize you can set the date 
back, but really, we should stop using it as soon as we can. Insyde were 
very kind to do a reference port, and let us use it, but they are a 
business after all, and I think we should stop using their demo BIOS as 
soon as possible. And, we should thank them for what they did -- Insyde 
helped a lot of people.

I have to sign off, but I can try to help you make the transition. There 
is also a writeup on the wiki. And this nice list at OLPC will help too :-)

Besides, I've used both and yes, I'm biased, but the linuxbios 
environment is MUCH nicer than the old-fashioned 1981-style bios -- 
faster, better, cheaper, pick any three. And I have yet to find a usb 
device that won't work.

OLPC guys -- this transition is important enough that I think it should 
be on the front page -- I can't find it.

Zach -- you have to make the change, so let's see if we can help you.
