[OLPC-devel] Please start beating up on the new EXA X driver on the OLPC system

Jordan Crouse is  particularly interested in any Xv problems you can
uncover and characterize. xorg-x11-drv-amd is the name of the package,
and it has a different driver name you'll need to put in your Xorg.conf
file to try it.  The driver name is "amd", strangely. It should have
significantly better performance that any X driver you've been using on
the OLPC hardware.

Also, if you find slow paths on common operations, Jordan needs to know
what they are so he (and others) can work on speeding them up; there is
more work that can be done on performance.

A number of people on the list have said they were interested in working
on X and optimizing the driver: now is your chance to help out.  Jordan
can provide a pointer to a git tree for people to develop against; I
don't happen to know if the driver is now hosted on freedesktop.org or
not, though I know that is in the works.
