<span>Hi Kelsey-<br></span><b><span></span></b><span><br>The XO was really designed only to connect to other XO's (through mesh networking) or to a School server (through mesh networking or through a WiFi connection to a supported wireless access point configured in a limited number of ways.)<br>
<br>Since you've previously seen it connect to your wireless access point, there a good chance it's just a configuration problem, rather than the more serious chipset incompatibilities reported elsewhere.<br><br>The first thing I'd check is the version of XO software you're using. If you're planning to connect using WEP, you really want to be using the 656 release. <br>
<br>If you have previously updated the software, you might have toggled-back to the former release (holding the 'circle' gamepad key when powering on) and that would explain being unable to connect now when you had successfully connected before.<br>

over the phone, I will try by email for the sixth time. We have had the mini
laptop since Christmas, and it stopped getting an internet connection months
ago. The manual says that OLPC supports a WEP connection, but when I put in the
encryption code all it does is ask me for it again. Our wireless network is
WEP, so I do not understand how this continues to be an issue. Please offer
some sort of assistance so I do not feel like I am getting bent over by a non-profit
organization. Thanks for your help.</p>
