I can confirm that Opera works as one is accustomed by giving access to the file system.  The font size small but readable.  

It's not clear to me, however, that files in Journal can be easily identified to attach. If I understand things, the files have system-assigned id's.  So, I think you would need to drag the file to a usb or flash drive, where th file's name is recognizible, and select it from there in Opera's attachment interface.
