I'm a bit confused. What is an SSD?

The XO is designed, kinda like the TiVo, to treat disk space as a
resource to be utilized and managed. As new activities are added to
the journal they will take up more and more disk space until
additional storage space is needed. Then the least used journal
entries are automatically deleted.

If you're doing...um....educational exploration.... down in the guts
of the filesystem, you likely know more about what you're doing than
anyone else.

I'd say it's probably not a problem if the disk appears to be filling
up, and probably not a good idea to go around just deleting things
that appear to not be needed.

But, of course, YMMV.
