Its hard to say right now.  Unless you can do repairs in mass with cheap 
labor the cost of the labor makes the economics such that its better 
just to ship out a new one.

Those DOA units would then get re-purposed for spare parts or funneled 
into the developer program where people who already have the skill and 
equipment can fix them and then use them.
