[olpc-help] How do I disable Bitfrost?

I am sooo close to being able to use my Franklin CDU650 EVDO card. I can connect, get an IP and DNS, but cannot browse. The modem is running, I'm transmitting data out, but I can't receive data. After examining many other solutions, I'd like to try disabling the Bitfrost networking firewall.

The card, wireless signal, and authentication are fine, and the card works on another linux box. I am definitely connected to the Internet, receiving an IP, DNS, in /bins/ifconfig etc. I've tried browsing with Opera and the default Browser with no success. I can ping out successfully sometimes, but I have 95% packet loss. The card is definitely transmitting data out only after I connect, but no data can come in. I've tried disabling networking and even re-enabled it via the cd /lib/firmware && mv usb8388.bin flying && reboot trick, as having two IPs is a bad thing. The other versions of 'Airplane mode' are not yet operational; turning the wireless off via sugar-control-panel -s radio off results in the Network Manager re-enabling the wireless NIC moments later.

I really think it's got to be a security issue. I'm wondering if Bitfrost could be preventing Internet access out of the new modem serial port.

Anyone know how to modify/find/disable Bitfrost?

The Wiki says it's supposed to be easy for users to alter, but this user can't find it yet.

Thanks for any help! If I get it working, I'll post instructions on the forum.
