Yes, I've seen that on both the real XO and my virtual ones. I'm
guessing that something isn't releasing its memory when it quits and the
new activity can't get memory. For that matter, the browser crashes
someone else and I have seen may also be memory-related -- the Linux
out-of-memory killer is getting the browser.

One thing you might try would be to open the "Terminal" activity right
after a reboot and type "top" at the prompt. Then if something behaves
strangely, go can Alt-Tab over to the terminal and see what's happening.
If you've got the disk space, "top -b" will capture a log file you can
look at after a crash.
