Journal creates files in /home/olpc/.sugar/default/data and /home/olpc/.sugar/default/datastore/store (this is where most downloaded files go). They won't be named anything recognizeable, but you should be able to tell them apart by the date, and you can type 'file <first few letters and then TAB>' to see what type of file it is.

What I personally do is 'cp' the file to the /home/olpc directory as a more recognizeable name. Then, to free up space, I go to the Journal and delete the entry from there.
