[olpc-community-support] screen does not come on

on the theory that the EC has a glitch, i have removed all power as instructed
(ie removed battery, charger & powercord) twice - the battery light
is on, the power light comes on when i hit the power button, but
the display has never come on - is there anything more i can do
or do i have a dead laptop??
