Yes, there are two different ways to do this. One of them is documented in http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Airplane_mode .

Both of them should be documented there, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

The easy way is to go into the terminal.xo activity and type:

olpc$: sugar-control-panel radio on



The other way to do it is to remove the module to run the wireless

> modprobe usb8xxx
