 This ticket might be a symptom of #12837, because heap corruption is a
 known cause of ''internal compiler error''.

 Tested kernel build on Fedora 20, with new glibc taken from the Fedora 24
 package queue:
  * success on XO-4, previously it had failed,
  * failure on XO-1.75, in exactly the
 [http://dev.laptop.org/~quozl/z/1Y15x6.txt same source code line] as
 before, and is reproducible, not stochastic,

 So half the problem is solved; the XO-4 half.
