 Thanks for your problem report.

You haven't said which of our Android images you've tried, but you're
probably talking about the one we released on 2014-09-01, which was a
custom image that was accepted by our customer. They have since assumed
 the responsibility of building images.

That image may have the ro.secure flag turned off, see our
 [http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Android/Building/Variants building variants]
 documentation for details.

Please try the immediately previous image, or each of the previous images,
to find which one will work with the apps you want it to work with. You
can find the previous images [http://build.laptop.org/android/ on our
 build.laptop.org] server.

 We do provide [http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Android/Building instructions]
for making your own build, and this is sufficient for you to solve your
 problem in time.

We have no plans to make any other Android images until a customer funds
the development, so I'll close the ticket as ''wontfix''. If you are able
to fund this development, please contact OLPC privately.

The XO-4 Touch has an internal serial port, which is documented
 [http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Serial_adapters on our Wiki].
