Comment:

 Can you please describe the symptom?  I've been unable to reproduce
 anything that resembles "epiphany menu text all boxes" on XO-4.  (I've
 seen the Browse activity tab title switch to boxes, but that was on XO-1
 only, and was a lack of graphics memory for the font.)

 The file /etc/fonts/conf.d/25-no-bitmap-fedora.conf is provided by package
 fontconfig.

 On 13.2.1-14 the package version is fontconfig-2.10.2-2.fc18, and on
 14.1.0-1 is fontconfig-2.11.0-2.fc20.

 This isn't an OLPC package, so the problem may be escalated to Fedora, or
 we might fork the package.
