 On units with 1GB memory or booted with mem=1024M:

  * first boot time is doubled,
  * boot may hang at the pulsing icon stage,
  * user interface responsiveness degrades after a sleep.

 Reproduces in the 2014-05-05 build.

 Is reported not to occur in the 2014-04-17 build.
