Comment(by Quozl):

 The problem does not occur when using an Open Firmware ad-hoc test, but
 did occur with 22 nodes running the Open Firmware test and one node
 running Sugar.  The Open Firmware test does not use IP and does not
 provide Sugar presence packets.
