 The failed attempt to get signal information may indicate that the
 wireless card has hung.

 We already see from #12763 another behaviour when the card has hung.

 A potential cause of hang was identified by Marvell in the past few
 weeks, and they proposed several patches on the linux-wireless@
 mailing list.

 Of these three look very relevant, and so a test kernel is available
 with these patches: http://dev.laptop.org/~quozl/12767/a/
