 This is so easy to reproduce, maybe it is another manifestation of #12569.

 Those logs were from a second instance of the bug, with the same symptoms.
 Eventually the DHCP lease runs out and ifconfig stops listing the IPv4
 address.   In all cases, a direct ping of the gateway results in:
 connect: Network is unreachable.
