 Gary, slow system may be another cause, please try to reproduce after a
 fresh boot without using other activities, and report frequency.  If other
 activities are the cause, then please find out which ones they are.  e.g.
 perhaps not stopping Physics problem may cause this with Calculate.

 I note original fail rate was 1/20.  I have tried to reproduce 20 times.
 Start Calculate, use touchscreen to multiple n x n, where n is the test
 number, then press stop, then repeat.  The touchscreen continued to
 respond normally.  I may need to try more.

 Simon, there was a "failed to start" on the 9th, 13th, and 16th attempts,
 but the activity covered the "failed to start" within a second, and the
 "failed to start" was uncovered on activity exit.
