 Thanks for the ticket, yes this is a long standing issue that I've not
 managed to get to the bottom of (and with some low level debugging help
 from others). Unfortunately Physics depends on bundled libraries, one
 being a binary for box2d, so the debugging gets rather tough at that
 point. The Sugar Labs ticket is: http://bugs.sugarlabs.org/ticket/2469

 I'm hoping a move to sugargame rather than the current olpcgame will help
 as it does not require separate pygame and gtk threads (and should at
 least give us less code to debug).
