Comment:

 If you are familiar with how, could you try:

  1. Getting into Open Firmware and the "ok" prompt (pressing ESC on
 startup when you hear the startup sound).
  2. Enter ".hdmi" (without the quotes, but with the leading period) and
 press Enter.
  3. Connect the HDMI monitor if it is not connected already.
  4. Attach the output here of what the XO thinks monitor says it supports
 (take a picture of the screen and attach it if you do not have serial
 output attached to the XO).  Also let us know if the display output of
 Open Firmware is mirrored on the monitor display.
