Comment:

 Showing the manufacturer wasn't too hard when there were only about three
 choices, only two of which ever shipped.  Then things got out of control,
 with Quanta bombarding us with new SPI FLASH parts from different vendors,
 some of which shared similar ID data.  It was hard enough just getting
 things to work.

 Unless there is a customer requirement for the manufacturer name, I don't
 think it makes sense to waste time and ROM space on manufacturer name
 display.
