 (In random review of Open Firmware source encountered ''wait-frame-done''
 example in the DRAM recalibration code.  It clears then waits for rising
 edge IRQs for the video and graphic panel path frames.  This might replace
 the empirically determined synchronisation delay in screen-unfreeze,
 leading to CPU speed independent unfreeze.)
