 Will you please attach the output from dmesg and the Xorg log from a
 machine showing this problem?  A couple of your monitors only support VESA
 monitor resolutions and be default we are only supporting CEA modes.  The
 should still negotiate down to 640x480 and work at that resolution.

 I know with some monitors there is an option to choose either graphic or
 video mode in the settings.  Choosing graphic will use VESA resolutions
 and video will choose CEA modes.  Please see if such an option exists.  It
 is possible having OFW output a 720p or 1080p resolution is automatically
 switching the monitor to that mode.
