 OK, we've dug through and the root of the problem is that both the EC (and
 the later SP code) reused the same scan code for different keys in the
 keyboard.   This makes it impossible to use a single mapping at the higher
 level (merged symbol descriptions).

 Unless we are willing to change the EC and Linux code on all laptops after
 1.5 HS, we are better off reverting to the older xkb symbol file for es
 (along with the rules files).
