 With 12.1.0, clicking on the AP icon produces the desired results.

 Further, with 13.1.0 even after manually entering 'iwconfig' and 'route'
 commands (and making sure /etc/resolv.conf was correct, I was still UNABLE
 to establish a connection to the AP.
