Comment:

I had a look at the package differences in regards to olpc-kbdshim in the
 [http://download.laptop.org/xo-1.75/os/official/latest/21021o2.packages.txt
 12.1.0] and
 [http://build.laptop.org/13.1.0/os1/xo-1.75/31001o2.packages.txt 13.1.0]
 build.

In 12.1.0 we have a more recent version (olpc-kbdshim-27) than in 13.1.0
(olpc-kbdshim-26-3), this does probably explain as well that screen
rotation is not working anymore [http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail
 /arm-builds/2012-May/071104.html see 27 release notes].

I tried to install the F17 package on 13.1.0 but had a missing dep on
libudev. Looking at the udev version, I could only find
 (libgudev1-188-3.fc18.armv7hl) in
 [http://build.laptop.org/13.1.0/os1/xo-1.75/31001o2.packages.txt 13.1.0],
no udev needed in F18 anymore?

Sidenote: I wondered as well where from version 27 had been released? Is
 [http://dev.laptop.org/git/users/pgf/olpc-kbdshim/ that] the current repo?
