 A 24-hour runin using build 7 generated roughly 80 MB of kern.log
 consisting mainly of kernel sound driver debug messages and timestamps.
 These can be reproduced using /runin/runin-sound.

 The runin log compresses to 14 MB.

 This will have knock-on effects in manufacturing, increasing log copy and
 processing times.

 I'd like the debug messages removed before production.
