--------------------------------+-------------------------------------------
On XO-4 B1, SHC2380004F, running Q7B03, an attempt to reflash the SPI
flash ROM hangs the laptop. The screen shows that it starts executing the
/boot/olpc.fth script from a USB key, and started reflashing. The image
integrity checked, the SPI Flash was identified as a type 14 2MB part
(spi-identity was patched by the script), "Writing" and on the next line
it says "120000".
This laptop was repeatedly rebooting and reprogramming it's flash with
either q7b02 or q7b03. The SPI Flash ROM has been modified to run at
+3.3V.
The unit was unresponsive to keyboard or serial console. The EC appears
to be in reset or hung, as holding down the power button doesn't reboot
the laptop.
On power cycle, CForth reported "Can't find dropin reset\n Aborted\n
Skipping OFW".
