 On XO-4 B1 laptops running Q7B02 or Q7B03 firmware, OFW doesn't see
 certain USB keys if they are present at boot time.   These include the
 "Belkin silver 1GB" key and the Sandisk Cruzer 1GB key, both of which were
 detected if present before boot on XO-1.5, XO-1.75, etc.

 If inserted into the system after boot, these problematic keys are seen by
 OFW and can be used without any problems.

 I only have two keys in my collection which are reliably found if inserted
 before boot: the Kodak 2GB and a no-name Microcenter  key.
