Comment:

 Thanks. The most likely explanation for the problem is that you are using
 touchscreen firmware intended for production light guides (which are dark)
 with a prototype light guide (which is clear), which was part of SKU292.

 You should test with firmware 0.0.0.4 which was the last version tuned for
 use with the prototype light guide. All later versions were tuned by
 Neonode for the dark light guide. Optical transmit signal and receive
 signal levels have been compensated.

 To test, place the 0.0.0.4 firmware on a USB drive as a file named z4.hex,
 and then interrupt boot to get the ok prompt, and type:

 {{{
  ok flash-nn u:\z4.hex
  ok boot
 }}}

 The firmware can be downloaded from http://dev.laptop.org/pub/firmware/nn/

 On the next power cycle, the Open Firmware Q7B07 will automatically
 upgrade the touchscreen firmware. The next version of Open Firmware
 disables this automatic upgrade for XO-4 B1 units. svn 3453.

 Other causes of this diagonal lines bending problem may include:
  * dirt or dust in the screen edges,
  * flexing of the screen,
  * adhesive failure.
