 * start with laptop powered off,
  * insert USB modem on one socket,
  * insert USB flash drive on another socket,
  * power up and wait for Sugar frame to be available.

 Expected result:
  * modem icon should be in Sugar frame,
  * ''nmcli dev'' should list the device entry for the modem.

 Observed result:
  * modem icon is not Sugar frame,
  * ''nmcli dev'' does not list the device entry for the modem.

 Workarounds:
  * remove and reinsert the USB modem, or
  * do not boot with the USB flash drive connected.

Said to occur by Ajay on XO-1.75 with 13.1.0 os11, with dmesg and
 /var/log/messages provided here:
 http://lists.laptop.org/pipermail/devel/2012-November/036412.html

Reproduced on XO-4 B1 with 13.1.0 os12, with ''nmcli dev'' not showing the
device, but I'm not sure if this test is valid given possible USB power
 problems with XO-4 B1.
