Comment:

 Thanks, glad to have that expectation checked.  I was looking into it
 because current firmware does not initialise the alternate boot flag on
 RTC SRAM data loss.  The uninitialised value would have to be exactly one
 of 256 possible values for the alternate boot function to be engaged.  The
 probability is low.  Closing.
