 I thought it did, but I was getting it confused with some other code.

 Nevertheless I think its the right solution to add this (if /home/olpc UID
 == 500). Do you see any problems with this? Because otherwise we have to
 go around hacking ther things such as PAM configs which now say that user
 accounts start at 1000, other accounts are system accounts.
