Comment:

 calibration of the touchscreen fixes this.

 from linux, in os31 and later:
 {{{
 echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/pxa2xx-i2c.3/i2c-3/3-0030/calibrate
 }}}
 and keep your hands away from the touchscreen for at least two seconds.

 this can also be done from OFW, but i don't have the command name handy.
