 /usr/sbin/olpc-update-query tries to get the serial number & UUID from
 /ofw using an internal routine called read_ofw().

 This doesn't work on 1.75 due to device-tree, so it defaults to test
 values which cannot get leases for a real XO.

 Seen in 11.3.1 os28.
