 after several test cycles during a 24-hour runin, the accelerometer test
 hangs, possibly on opening and reading from the device position file, or
 waiting for suspend lock.  EINTR is detected, possibly due to the regular
 alarm timer.  the test restarts.  once this begins to occur, the
 accelerometer is no longer being tested.

 a regression over 11.3.1.
