Comment:

 Browse's URL entry bar explicitly sets the hl= parameter (seen on the
 error page if we are not connected to a network).

 The modified OLPC Search window in 12.1.0 os12 in the HTML page simply
 does not set the hl parameter at all.

 These currently lead to the same result in the limited testing I can do at
 one location.
