Comment:

 Selected as blocker in 12.1.0 release meeting.

 The battery icon behaviour is actually ok (see #11878). There may be other
 imperfections such as the ones noted above. However, I think the important
 thing is to get the icons visible on XO-1. The rest seems "good enough".
