 Tested the capture using gdb.  The SIGUSR1 signal needs to be ignored by
 gdb.  This is pasted into a serial console shell prompt:
 {{{
 gdb -p $(pidof -x runin-gtk)
 handle SIGUSR1 noprint nostop
 continue
 bt
 }}}

 If runin detects a fail while the debugger is at the prompt, the log
 cleanup and reboot appears to be delayed until the runin-gtk process
 exits.

 Three units in test with os17.
