 I had a XO-1.5 fail runin with 12.1.0 os17 within a few hours of starting
 it due to the battery test failing.

 The test once read the battery SOC as being zero, and then used this value
 to perform an invalid calculation.

 Richard says this is a EC timeout regression on XO-1.5.
