 gtk.main() is at the end of the file.But at the beginning there are a line
 "gtk.gdk.threads_init()"

 I was asking you because git blame pointed to your commit b66765b7, but
 you only moved the call.

 I have tried replacing:

 gobject.idle_add(unfreeze_dcon_cb)

 by

 unfreeze_dcon_cb()

 The only change I saw, is now we have a little space of time with the
 screen white, between the startup animation and sugar.

 Anyway, I am not an expert in this area, and don't know if you want
 include a change like this so late.
