 There is a bug in the code caused by a change in the output format of
 iwlist, due to cfg80211 being used in the XO-1.75 kernel.

 You are probably seeing this. What is probably happening is that the
 presence of one open network is triggering another (which may have
 security) to be considered as open.

 Fixed in 12.1.0 in the move to iw, where the logic is also more solid.
