Comment(by wad):

 11528 is NOT a duplicate of this ticket.   The status register reports a
 completely different condition in 11528 (a much more worrisome one).

 There is a third case, which I don't believe is being tracked separately
 yet, where the status register reports 0x0700, or that the card hasn't
 been selected yet.
